Tenax TA is a porous polymer support of 2,6-diphenyl-p-phenylether used as a substitute for Tenax GC. It has good temperature resistance (extremely low loss) and can be used for the adsorption of organic volatile and semi volatile compounds. It can also be used in capture/thermal desorption pretreatment methods and is designated as a filler by the USA EPA and NIOSH. Tenax TA is used to analyze high boiling point substances such as alcohols, polyethylene glycol, diols, phenols, monoamines, diamines, ethanolamines, aldehydes, ketones, and chlorobenzene.
