Haohan Chromatography optimized the parameter conditions of the national standard GB 5009.225-2023 for detecting ethanol content. Method: After pre-treatment, the sample was added with tert pentanol standard solution as the internal standard, and chromatographic separation was performed using a quartz capillary column with polyethylene glycol as the stationary phase. Result: Under optimized chromatographic conditions, ethanol showed good correlation within the linear range, with a correlation coefficient of R ≥ 0.995 and a relative standard deviation of less than 2%. The recovery rate of spiked ethanol within the linear range was 99.0%~102.0%, which was better than the method in GB 5009.225-2016. Conclusion: This method is fast, accurate, and suitable for the determination of ethanol content in alcoholic beverages such as fruit wine, wine, and beer.
