The ammonia content in coke oven gas is one of the indicators for detection and needs to be strictly controlled. The traditional method of determination is physicochemical, which is complex to operate and takes a long time for analysis, and cannot meet the requirements of rapid analysis in industrial production, limiting its use.
HaoHan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. adopts gas chromatography and equipped with a dedicated packed column HH-NH3-VI to determine the content of ammonia in coal gas. The detection limit of ammonia is 14ppm, and the relative standard deviation is less than 1% for measuring constant ammonia-containing samples, and less than 6% for measuring trace ammonia-containing samples, all within the allowable error range. Compared with the conventional acid-base neutralization method, the conventional acid-base neutralization method has a large error in determining the content of ammonia in acidic gases.
